Finca de Garces - Ethiopian Landrace
Ethiopian roots. Bukidnon-grown. Very, very good coffee.
This one has a pretty cool backstory.
Growing on the slopes of Mt. Kalatungan in Bukidnon, the coffee trees at Finca de Garces were recently DNA-tested and confirmed to have genetic roots in Ethiopia's heirloom coffee varieties. Somewhere along the way, those genetics found their way to Philippine soil - and they've been thriving here ever since.
The result is a coffee that feels familiar if you love Ethiopian coffees, but unmistakably shaped by its home in Bukidnon.
Expect a beautifully sweet and expressive cup, with cranberry, stonefruit and raisins. It's the kind of coffee that keeps revealing a little more as it cools - so maybe don't rush this one.
And there's good reason to pay attention to Finca de Garces. Their coffee has earned multiple national recognitions, including a first-place finish in the Estate Farm category at the 2025 Philippine Coffee Quality Competition.
A little Ethiopian heritage. A lot of Bukidnon character. And proof that some pretty incredible coffee can grow right here at home.
